TIPS & RECOMMENDATIONS

For smooth running of the lessons, please take note of the following information:
  • Don’t forget to pick up your bib before the start of your lessons.
  • Arrive early at the lesson meeting point, located at the top of the gondolas.
  • Ski passes are not included in the lesson price and are required to access the ski area. Make sure to arrange this in advance!
  • Equipment rental is not included in the lesson price. Make sure to have the right equipment for your discipline beforehand. Feel free to contact rental shops before your arrival.
  • Students are not insured by the ESF. We recommend checking your personal coverage and, if needed, taking out ski insurance. Cancellation insurance is offered when purchasing group lessons online.
For your child's comfort and safety :
  • Dress them according to weather conditions: ski goggles or sunglasses, gloves or mittens, hat, warm and waterproof clothing, sunscreen (UVA & UVB, SPF 25 minimum), lip balm, tissues, and a small snack in their pocket.
  • Equip them with properly sized and weighted ski equipment. Don’t forget the helmet, which is mandatory for little ones and strongly recommended for everyone.
  • Inform the instructor of any health issues.
  • Allow the instructor to adjust the level if necessary for your child’s well-being.
  • Remember: your child is on holiday—the goal is for them to enjoy themselves and want to come back. Respect their pace and don’t push them to become a champion too early!
  • A good breakfast is essential before skiing.
Slope rules:
  • Never stop behind a bump or in a narrow passage.
  • Walk only on the edge of the slopes if necessary.
  • Respect others, adjust your speed, and always stay in control.
  • When overtaking, leave enough space and anticipate changes in direction.
  • Slow down at crossings and get up quickly after a fall (you are vulnerable on the ground).
  • Be careful not to endanger others with your behaviour or equipment (which should not be left on the slope).
  • Follow all signage, markings, and instructions from piste patrols.
  • Witness an accident? Alert the rescue services immediately—the faster they arrive, the more effective their intervention.
  • Be extra vigilant in crowded areas, as the risk of hitting a small child is higher.

Using ski lifts
  • Chairlift: If you have trouble getting off, stay seated—the lift will stop automatically
  • Drag lift: Do not zigzag, do not let go of the bar mid-route, and clear the arrival area quickly.

Snowpark rules:
  • Warm up on some slopes before attempting the park—even the world’s best freestylers do this!
  • In the pipe, wait your turn and signal when you go in.
  • Do not stay behind features—quickly clear landing zones like the big air! Someone could land on your board and get seriously injured.
  • Respect your limits and control your speed—freestyle is not easy!
  • Landings must be made on the slope to avoid injuries.
  • Do not stand anywhere randomly to watch friends or freestylers—you may be in the way or at risk; they could land where you least expect.
  • Adjust your take-off properly; don’t go full speed without thinking—you don’t know if the kicker will send you off-course even at low speed.
